ALEXANDRIA, VA — Check that stack of mail: Alexandria’s 2026 vehicle personal property and business personal property tax bills are due Monday, Oct. 5.

Payment must be received by the deadline to avoid a late-payment penalty and interest, according to the City of Alexandria. The penalty is 10% when a bill is paid up to 30 days late. After Nov. 4, the penalty increases to 25%.
