Soma Yoga Healing Center Moves Into Larger Kingstowne Studio
KINGSTOWNE, VA— Soma Yoga Healing Center is stretching into a larger home this fall, giving its growing community more room for yoga, massage, movement and a little breathing space.
The woman-owned studio, founded by Sarah DeBlock three years ago, begins classes Oct. 3 at 6940 S. Kings Highway, Suite 206. A grand opening and ribbon-cutting celebration is planned for Nov. 14 from 1 to 3 p.m.

“Soma is a place where you can put down the pressure, be yourself, and walk out with a lighter heart,” DeBlock said. “It’s always been more about a work-in than a work-out. This new home lets us grow with our community and welcome even more people as they learn to live their most fulfilled lives.”
More Room to Move, Heal and Grow
The larger studio includes a more spacious classroom as well as private rooms for therapeutic massage and yoga therapy. Soma’s offerings include yoga for all levels, Ayurveda yoga philosophy workshops, yoga therapy, strength and mobility classes, therapeutic massage, somatic dance, women’s and men’s circles, and retreats.

The studio emphasizes an inclusive approach for people at different ages and experience levels. According to Soma, its members range from their early 20s to age 86, including longtime yoga practitioners and people stepping onto a mat for the first time.

Grand Opening Nov. 14
During the Nov. 14 celebration, guests can tour the new studio, meet instructors and learn about upcoming programs. Massage and acupuncture will also be available. New members can get started for $30, with additional grand-opening promotions planned during the event.

“Whether you’re 20 or 86, curious or experienced, we saved you a spot,” DeBlock said. “Come as you are and find out what your heart has been searching for.”
