Wondering about the West Glebe Road Bridge Project?

Many have been wondering when the work will be finished. Here's an opportunity to get answers to your questions from those in the know.

Alexandria, VA – Please join Arlington County, in coordination with the City of Alexandria, for an open house on the West Glebe Road Bridge project. The open house will take place on Wednesday, February 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gunston Middle School (2700 S. Lang St., Arlington, VA 22206).

The existing West Glebe Road Bridge

In fall 2018, a routine inspection of the West Glebe Road Bridge at South Four Mile Run Drive uncovered deterioration. This deterioration required a vehicle weight restriction on the bridge as well as closure of the sidewalks in both directions. Arlington and Alexandria are now working to return the bridge to a safe operational condition for all users and improve access for people walking, biking and driving.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the drop-in style open house to learn more about the project, ask questions of staff, and provide feedback on bridge cross-sections and visual preferences.
