Alexandria, VA – Since the beginning of the pandemic, finding and having access to food for those in need has been difficult. Many food distribution events have taken place in the community over recent months to mitigate the issue.

But Alexandria realizes more needs to be done. To meet the demand, an online resource has been created. This interactive website called “The Food Distribution Events Dashboard” contains a wealth of information.

It lists distribution events by neighborhood, shows zip codes that use the SNAP assistance program, and much more. A map of neighborhoods and zip codes shows what areas receive deliveries and prepared meals. People can zoom in to study their own neighborhood.

The website can be found HERE.
