Alexandria, Watch Your Car Tires!

We are a “Good News ONLY” publication for Alexandria, but occasionally we are compelled to offer neighborhood warnings as a matter of safety and decency.

We know of at least two incidents that occurred Wednesday night, March 28, on side streets just off Mount Vernon Avenue, in which car wheels were completely lifted from parked cars. We were also told the same had happened in other parts of the City as well as in nearby Fairlington.

Alexandria Living Legend and Del Ray civic leader shared a photo on her personal Facebook page this morning, with the comment, “Not good at all. This is what my neighbor found this morning – his car that was parked in front of my house less these two tires. Happened during the night. They must’ve been quiet and quick because no barking from Dodger but we need to keep an eye on things, if you get up during the night take a peek out your window.”

Karen Johnson showed off her missing wheel, but pointed out the OTHER cool stuff, commenting, “LovePaws hoodie, My Dog Digs Del Ray and Relax It’s Del Ray car magnets available through PawsGo.com

Another Del Ray resident, Karen Johnson posted to her popular Facebook page, My Dog Digs Del Ray, a picture of her Jeep minus the spare wheel on the back. Turning lemons into lemonade, Karen took the opportunity to point out the cool stickers on the back of her car with tips on where they can be purchased, with a funny hashtag, #product placement.
