New Del Ray Fitness Studio Celebrates Grand Opening in Alexandria

Alexandria VA – A new fitness business is putting down roots in Del Ray with a mission that goes beyond workouts and weightlifting. Lifestyle & Performance Fitness officially celebrated the grand opening of its boutique personal training studio on May 16, welcoming community leaders, neighbors, and fitness enthusiasts to its new Alexandria location.

The celebration featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guided studio tours, trainer meet-and-greets, and raffle giveaways for personal training sessions. Local officials and business leaders attended the event, including John Taylor Chapman, Sandy Marks, and Lauren Fisher.

Founded by co-owners Lawrence Soto and Patrick Newhall, the studio was designed to help clients improve strength, mobility, and overall confidence through individualized coaching and functional fitness training.

The two trainers bring more than three decades of combined experience in personal training, exercise science, athletic development, and movement coaching. Their approach centers on personalized programming tailored to each client’s goals, whether someone is new to fitness, recovering from injury, or seeking higher athletic performance.

We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received from the community and our clients” said Lawrence Soto and Patrick Newhall, co-founders of Lifestyle & Performance Fitness.”They have played a major role in helping us to get to this point where we could open our own studio in Del Ray. We’ve been fortunate to work with so many great people along the way, and we’re excited to be a part of the community here in Alexandria.”

Unlike large commercial gyms, LPF focuses on one-on-one coaching and small-group sessions in a more personal setting. The studio offers customized fitness plans for clients of all ages and experience levels, emphasizing proper movement, long-term wellness, and sustainable results.

As Del Ray continues to attract locally owned businesses centered on community connection and healthy living, Lifestyle & Performance Fitness aims to become more than just a workout destination. Soto and Newhall hope the studio will serve as a welcoming environment where clients feel supported, motivated, and empowered to improve their quality of life.

With its community-first philosophy and personalized approach, the new studio is already making an energetic first impression in the neighborhood.
