Sheriff and Police Deliver Meals to Homebound Seniors
On January 13, the Sheriff’s Office and the Police Department stepped up to assist Senior Services of Alexandria when heavy snow and road conditions prevented their regular drivers from delivering Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors. Officers Tara Finkle and Henry Segura covered the routes in the West End and Lieutenant Sean Casey and Captain Robyn Nichols handled the deliveries in the downtown and greater Del Ray areas. The seniors appreciated the efforts of both agencies.
