Old Town Needs a Good Cleaning

The grassroots We Love Old Town group has a mission: “Citizens engaged with city staff & businesses to keep Old Town clean, attractive and well maintained.”

Their priorities include identifying crumbling, loose, or missing bricks, reporting vacant tree wells in need of mulch, and picking up trash. The next big pickup happens December 8, between 9 and 11 a.m. at the corner of N. Fairfax and King Streets. The managers at Trader Joes provide trash bags and water for the volunteers. If you want to help, visit weloveoldtown.com or call Marjorie Scott, 703-625-2428.
