Alexandria, VA – Aligning with over $3 million in recent Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and Virginia Housing Trust Fund awards that will support the development and preservation of more than 400 affordable housing units in Virginia over the next three years, Wesley Housing Development Corporation announced the strategic addition of three new members to its real estate development team.

Hiram Brown will be leading the development efforts of The Cadence, a new 126-unit construction project in Arlington, VA as a senior project manager.  Prior to joining Wesley Housing in July, he structured and closed 4% and 9% LIHTC transactions for a non-profit affordable housing developer in Nashville, TN. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University and a Juris Doctor degree from Vanderbilt University.

Gregory Lloyd joined Wesley Housing as a senior construction manager in May.  Lloyd will be monitoring and advising on the design and construction of The Cadence and The Arden, a new 126-unit property in Alexandria, VA (Fairfax County) as well as the preservation of Knightsbridge Apartments, a 37-unit property in Arlington, VA. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for multiple concurrent projects through all stages of the development/construction process from initial planning, design, procurement, construction, client move-in, closeouts, and final bond release.  Prior to joining the Wesley Housing team, he served as a Senior Construction Manager for a leading engineering consultancy in Silver Spring, MD.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Construction Management, from The Ohio State University.

Austin Dunn, a recent college graduate from Howard University, joined the team as a development associate in July. He will support the real estate development department on a variety of tasks directly related to active development projects. Having dedicated his time and efforts to laudable social change initiatives from rebuilding homes with Habitat for Humanity post-Katrina and teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to orphans in South Korea, Dunn’s mission orientation aligns well with Wesley’s core values.
