To thank the more than 200 dedicated volunteers who help deliver valuable services to inmates and the public, the Sheriff’s Office held its annual volunteer appreciation luncheon on October 10. About 50 volunteers attended the luncheon and heard from guest speaker Kari Galloway, executive director of Friends of Guest House. Volunteers also enjoyed a video tribute featuring inmates and staff expressing their gratitude and each received a certificate of appreciation and small gift from Sheriff Dana Lawhorne.
