Alexandria Police Seek Help Identifying Bank Robber -Surveillance Photo Released

Police Investigate Robbery at SunTrust Bank on Mount Vernon Avenue

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Alexandria Police Department is investigating the robbery of a SunTrust Bank located at 2809 Mount Vernon Avenue. On Monday, March 4, 2019, at 12:52 p.m., a man entered the bank and demanded money from a bank teller. The teller complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded-jacket, dark pants, and a dark knit cap.
