ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Alexandria Health Department (AHD) is alerting residents that anyone who visited Kidane Mehret Church on August 14, 15, 16, and 17 may have been exposed to the coronavirus. The church is located on 75 South Bragg Street.

AHD asks people who were inside the church or on the grounds during those dates to self-quarantine immediately and stay away from others for 14 days. People should monitor for symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, headache, chills, muscle pain, or new loss of taste or smell.

If symptoms develop, people should contact a healthcare provider for testing and appropriate care. Trouble breathing and/or chest pain? Call 911 immediately. Those who do not have a doctor or insurance can call any of the providers on this list of healthcare facilities.

If you visited the church on the dates above, call 703-309-8276 for further assistance.

The church is currently working with AHD to take the necessary steps to protect their parishioners. Please share this news release or the  English and Amharic flyer immediately with anyone who may have spent time there.
