Want to Audition for the Virginia Renaissance Faire? Many Spots Available.

Spotsylvania, VA—Do you enjoy the Renaissance Faire? Are you an actor or into theatre or just want to give it a try? Are you a history buff? Now you can be a part of the cast that makes it all possible. Auditions for the 2019 Virginia Renaissance Faire Cast will be held Saturday, March 30 from 9:30 AM until 12 Noon at the Howell Branch of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library in Stafford VA right off Rt.17. There are openings for Townsfolk, Merchant Middle Class, Militia, and Musicians (the Town Minstrels need recorder/flute players, percussion and fiddle players).

Cast members have specific parts and scripts and all training will be provided. Plus, as a non-profit organization all hours you volunteer can be applied toward any community service credits. For the audition, go with a short monologue or story and dress to move because they’ll try out some improv games. If you are interested in the Town Minstrels, bring your instrument for a quick demo. THIS IS THE ONLY AUDITION DATE FOR 2019. Other volunteer positions are also available.

The Virginia Renaissance Faire emphasizes historical accuracy and education in a family friendly environment. It will run for five weekends, May 11 through June 9, 2019 at the Lake Anna Winery, 5621 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania, VA. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be part of this amazing production, maybe this is your year to find out.
