Duke Street Repaving Starts Sunday, Sept 9

On September 9, the City of Alexandria will begin resurfacing all lanes of Duke Street between Jordan Street and Walker Street.

Due to high traffic volumes during the day, paving will take place overnight on weeknights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting. The project is expected to be completed by September 30.

Traffic in the immediate and surrounding areas may be redirected during work hours. Parking is not normally permitted in the work area, and nearby parking should not be affected. Please observe all parking and detour signage.
