ALEXANDRIA, VA — In paperwork filed with the City, Del Ray’s Sicilian Pizza Restaurant at 1504-A Mount Vernon Avenue, is in the process of transitioning to new ownership.

New owner David Turker plans to keep the pizza spot the same regarding carry out and on premises service for Italian food, as well as delivery, and hopes to add a beer and wine license for the location, as well as expanded seating to 15 patrons rather than the current eight allowed.

Turker is an experienced restaurateur, and has owned the Acacia Bistro & Wine Bar at 4340 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008 for the past nine years.
