Caregiver Support: Resources to Guide You on January 11

Senior Services of Alexandria presents a Workshop for caregivers to get the support they need to care for themselves as well as their loved ones.

Alexandria, VA – Senior Services of Alexandria provides regular programs to support the both seniors and their caregivers in Alexandria. This panel features presenters representing the Institute for Innovations in Caregiving, Insight Memory Care, PRS CareRing and Synergy HomeCare.  Local experts will be discussing various topics important to those serving as caregivers as well as persons who may need care, including the latest trends and innovations in caregiving, home care options, specialized memory care programs as well as the city’s initiative to support those living with dementia – Dementia Friendly Alexandria.

Dr. Richard Lindsay, Professor Emeritus of Internal Medicine and Family Medicine at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center, is the featured speaker.  This event is extremely informative and helpful to anyone serving as a caregiver for a loved one.
