ALEXANDRIA, VA – Rooter is a 6-year-old, 25-pound dog searching for a special home.

Rooter has an award-winning, easygoing personality, and has gotten along swimmingly with other dogs his size and smaller. “We haven’t tried him with larger dogs yet,” says the Alexandria Animal Welfare League.

Rooter loves to go on walks, sniffs, and do zoomies in the play yard. He is extremely affectionate and loves to receive attention. Rooter also tries extremely hard to hold it and only goes potty outside.

Rooter has had a rough start to life and is currently heartworm positive. He wants to assure you it’s nothing to be too scared of, as it’s easily treatable and the AWLA will cover all the treatment.

If you’re interested in learning more about Rooter, visit him at the AWLA or give us a call to discuss his medical history at 703.746.4774.
