ALEXANDRIA, VA – Get ready to feel all the feels and meet characters like RIZZ (Charisma), CALM, SUS (Suspect), ANGER, JOY, and LOVE as the Metropolitan School of the Arts (MSA) kicks off its milestone 25th Annual Spring Production. “ECHO,” IS a dynamic dance celebration of emotion, memory, and movement.

Running June 12–15 at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center (4915 E. Campus Dr.), it is not just a performance, it’s an emotional journey through the heart and soul of one of Northern Virginia’s most beloved performing arts institutions.

“This production is more than just a dance performance; it’s a celebration of our history, our community, and the incredible talent of our students,” said Sara Hart, executive director of MSA. “We are thrilled to share this journey through time and emotion with our audience.”

This year’s show features more than 600 student performers in an original, movement-based narrative that dives into the emotions that define who we are. Audiences can expect to laugh, cry, and feel everything in between as MSA brings to life the inner workings of the human spirit through contemporary, ballet, jazz, and hip-hop choreography.

The show revisits some of the most powerful and poignant moments from the past 25 years of MSA productions, weaving them together in a fresh and moving retrospective.

The school is recognizing its accomplished seniors, including Alexis White (headed to NYU Tisch for Drama), Olivia Cooper (studying musical theater at the Institute of the Arts in Barcelona), and Cassandra DellaVedova (entering Temple University for acting). DellaVedova, along with Josie Sinniger, also received Cappies nominations, honoring excellence in high school musical theater.

With ticket prices ranging from $21 to $23, “ECHO” offers families, dance lovers, and performing arts enthusiasts a chance to experience the raw, real, and resonant power of youth performance.

Tickets are available at www.metropolitanarts.org.
