Come to the Children’s Desk to pick up a PINGO Card for Plastic Free July! Join millions of people reducing their plastic waste through Plastic Free July. The PINGO card gives kids concrete ways to reduce plastic use while raising awareness of the plastic problem. Anyone who completes five actions in a row can bring their card back to Beatley Library for an upcycled prize.

Celebrate Plastic Free July by joining Patagonia for a meaningful and engaging evening focused on protecting the Chesapeake Bay. Kick things off with a complimentary pre-event reception at Patagonia Old Town at 5:30 p.m., followed by a 6:30 p.m. program hosted by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation exploring the vital role of menhaden—often called “the most important fish in the sea.” The team at Patagonia Old Town is proud to support local environmental groups doing impactful work across the DMV, and they warmly welcome everyone to join their events in this special historic space, once home to the Richmond Theater. This free event invites you to learn, connect, and take action for a healthier, plastic-free future.
