Fire and Music: Del Ray Chili Cook-Off This Saturday, February 22!

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Bragging rights are up for grabs again. It’s time to taste and judge the best chili at the 7th Annual Del Ray Citizens Association Chili Cook-Off Saturday, February 22.

Chili tasting happens from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Commonwealth Academy (1321 Leslie Avenue) while the popular acoustic trio, The Okays play Americana, folky-country tunes.

This year, all proceeds will go toward Friends of Guest House, which helps women successfully re-enter the community after incarceration.

Online ticket sales for the Del Ray Chili Cook-Off end at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, but can still be purchased at the door. Tickets (which include chili tastes and 4 beer tickets) are $10 for non-DRCA members and free for DRCA members. (You can join the DRCA at their website (delraycitizens.org) or at the door.)

The event is open to residents of Del Ray and cash awards are given for best Chili in a variety of categories.
