Enter for a Chance to Win up to $100 in Alexandria Library’s “For Love of Country” Essay & Poetry Contest

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Are you a rising 7th, 8th or 9th grader? Are you interested in earning up to $100 this summer just by writing a simple essay or poem? If so, here’s your chance! Last year, we had over 49 winners! This year, one of the winners could be you!

Beginning Friday, June 1, you can enter the For Love of Country© Foundation and Alexandria Library’s 4th Annual “For Love of Country” Essay & Poetry Contest. This year’s theme is “You’re Eighteen, and Your Friends Say They Don’t Want to Vote. What Do You Say?”

The deadline to submit your essay or poem is Saturday, September 8 at 5 p.m. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to win up to $100! Submit your essay at any branch location.

Alexandria Library will distribute multiple awards in each of the following categories:

  • $100 Gold
  • $50 Silver
  • $25 Bronze
  • Certificates of Merit
