Together We Bake said in a recent press release, “We have a lot to be grateful for during this season of Thanksgiving. Our Fall class graduated on November 1st, and we couldn’t be more proud! The 10 women who completed our program are newly empowered and job-ready!”

“One of our Summer grads, Dana, spoke about her TWB experience. She shared her candid story of addiction, homelessness, and incarceration, and how she has managed to turn her life around. Right after she graduated from our program, she was hired by a bakery in DC. She has a job, a home, and is empowered to take on life. We are so proud of her!”

Founded in 2012, Together We Bake is a job training program to help women within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area in need of a second chance – women transitioning back into society from the corrections system, facing long-term unemployment, and/or experiencing homelessness. Together We Bake’s mission is to help women gain self-confidence, transferable workforce skills, and invaluable hands-on experience which will allow them to find sustainable employment and move toward self-sufficiency.
