Inside Scoop: It’s Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s!
You have until 8 p.m. to get a free ice cream cone in Old Town!
ALEXANDRIA, VA – April 9 is truly special. Not only is it National Unicorn Day, it’s also Free Cone Day at hundreds of Ben & Jerry’s around the world. Locally, it means that you can get a free ice cream cone at the Old Town and National Harbor locations until 8 p.m.
Free Cone Day has been held to commemorate the company’s anniversary for more than 40 years, and all tips throughout the day will benefit the Child and Family Network Centers.
Celebrity scoopers will be at the ice cream shop at 103 South Union St. until 4 p.m. They include representatives from the Alexandria City Council, School Board, city government, Police Department and Sheriff’s office.
