For Five Coffee Roasters Coming to Alexandria

One Stop Coffee Shop Across from King Street Metro

ALEXANDRIA, VA – In papers filed in Alexandria on May 1, 2019, a special use permit is requested for a new coffee shop with a new pedigree – their coffee is roasted in New York.

For Five is a micro-roasting facility based in Queens, New York. Founded in 2011 by two best friends from Queens who wanted to introduce specialty coffee by New Yorkers for New Yorkers, For Five thrives on the energy of the city it calls home. By sourcing, cupping, roasting, importing and distributing coffee, while also supplying equipment and providing tech services, For Five has become a one-stop shop for all things coffee related.

The application here is for a restaurant (coffee shop) with outdoor seating only to open at 1800 Diagonal Road, across from the King Street Metro. They plan to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner along with their specialty coffees daily from 6 am to 7 pm.

For Five currently operates four stores in New York, one in Los Angeles and one in Chicago.
