Half-Day Police Academy for Alexandria Residents

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Get to know the Alexandria Police Department (APD) in an abbreviated half-day session on Saturday, January 25, 2020. The Alexandria Police Academy will be held at Alexandria Police Department Headquarters at 3600 Wheeler Avenue from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Session will start with registration at 8:30 a.m.

This free class is limited to 45 participants per session. Participants of this half-day Community Police Academy must be at least 18 years of age and live or work in the City of Alexandria. In addition, criminal history checks will be conducted on all applicants for final approval of acceptance.

COMMUNITY: Fire Creates Urgent Need at Convergence Church and Arts Center

Topics will include patrol operations, use of force policies, the K9 Unit, Special Operations Team, crime scene investigation and criminal investigations.
