As we enter the winter weather season, DASH wants to ensure that you are well prepared for inclement weather.forecasts in our area.
Alexandria, VA – Are you ready for winter weather? Please refer to the DASH Ride Guide for routes and schedules, and take time to become familiar with the DASH Snow Route Detours that may be used in cases of severe winter weather.

DASH Winter Safety Tips
- Plan your travel ahead of time and visit dashbus.com to check for service or route delays.
- Allow extra time for your commute due to potential delays with road conditions.
- Know your route and pay special attention to changing and/or declining weather conditions.
- Dress warmly. You may be outside longer than normal.
- Do not stand in the street while waiting for a bus.
- Use extreme caution when walking on exposed surfaces, including parking lots and station platforms. Never run for a bus or train.
- Report any unsafe conditions to a DASH Operator.
