ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Alexandria Health Department has told Alexandria’s businesses that they can prepare for Phase Three of the “Forward Virginia” plan on July 1.

The new program, ALX Promise, headed by AHD helps to ensure the safety of a businesses’ employees and customers during the pandemic. The program is voluntary. But to participate businesses must undergo training so that proper protocols are followed to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

Steps include thorough cleanings, social distancing, and more. When a business completes their training successfully, an ALX Promise badge is placed on their front door or window. This badge informs customers that safety is a priority.
