Alexandria Bloomed During 90th Historic Garden Week

To celebrate Spring, the staff and volunteers at River Farm planted thousands of tulip bulbs in the garden areas surrounding the mansion.

Alexandria, VA – The day could not have been brighter or the air any clearer as members of the Garden Club of Alexandria, the Hunting Creek Garden Club and the Fairfax Garden Club prepared floral arrangements for the upcoming Historic Garden Week tour in Alexandria on Saturday, April 15th. This year’s tour marked the 90th anniversary of Historic Garden Week in Virginia.

Nearly complete, this large floral display will act a fireplace screen.
