Riding Public Transportation? Face Masks Still Required on DASH Buses
ALEXANDRIA, VA-Riding public transportation in Alexandria anytime soon? Don’t forget your mask. Even with yesterday’s news that the CDC has lifted the social distancing and indoor/outdoor mask requirements for fully vaccinated people, there are some exceptions. One is public transport: planes, trains, buses, and rail.
To abide by the new guidance, DASHBus is requiring riders to wear masks while waiting for, riding, and disembarking buses.
Passengers without a mask can obtain one from the bus operator.
For safety reasons, people who refuse to wear a mask will not be allowed to board, unless there is a medical reason that prevents using a mask.
This policy will remain in effect until further notice. It is in accordance with the Jan. 21 presidential order. Learn more about the policy at dashbus.com/maskmandate.
