ALIVE! Resumes Food Collection to Help Alexandrians In Need

ALEXANDRIA-Earlier today, ALIVE! announced that it has resumed food collection. The Food Program, suspended because of the pandemic, serves Alexandrians in need and is one of the nonprofit’s longstanding traditions.

Community members are welcome to drop off purchased or collected food items at 801 S. Payne St. ALIVE! accepts donations on Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. People can also make appointments by calling (703) 837-9300 or writing [email protected].

Donations must be from the current list of Accepted Food Donations. Needs change frequently so always check the updated list, available HERE.

Please note that ALIVE! cannot accept expired food or food packaged in glass containers. Donation
receipts available upon request.
