The Del Ray Farmers’ Market Just Released a Cookbook!

ALEXANDRIA,VA- To mark the recent 25th anniversary of the Del Ray Farmers’ Market, founded by Pat Miller, Charles Buki, Karen Johnson, Dennis Areeder, and Gayle Reuter, the vendors and volunteers have assembled a commemorative cookbook.

Filled with local favorites, most of which maximize the use of seasonal local produce, it’s a real collectible as well as an asset to your recipe repertoire.

The Del Ray Farmers’ Market runs year-round every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon in Pat Miller Square, at Mount Vernon and Oxford Avenues. During the peak season, there are more than 20 farmers and vendors offering fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheeses, breads, fresh pasta, baked goods and cut flowers.
