ALEXANDRIA, VA – The City of Alexandria will install four new Capital Bikeshare stations this summer.

These stations are funded via new developments that have been constructed or are nearing completion. Though the funding for these new stations is tied to new developments in the City, these Capital Bikeshare stations are, as with all stations, for all members of the community to use and enjoy.

The new developer-funded stations that will be installed in the upcoming weeks include:

  • N. Beauregard and Berkeley Streets
  • Wheeler Ave. and S. Floyd St.
  • Mt. Vernon Trail and S. Washington St.
  • Eisenhower Ave. and Ike Dr.

These stations are four of the six Bikeshare stations currently planned for installation in Alexandria. The fifth station, at N. St. Asaph and Montgomery Streets, will be installed in late summer/early fall, after scheduled repaving of N. St. Asaph Street. City staff is working to finalize an installation plan for the sixth station, at Strand and Duke Streets, for the new Robinson Terminal South development.
