Alexandria, VA – Cars were lined up at the gate to River Farm early April 8, the opening day of the River Farm Garden Market, according to Susan Kleist, VP of Development for the American Horticultural Society, who helped out at the entrance.

Area garden lovers were excited at the return of the Spring Market after two years of covid delays. They came to purchase plants and garden tools and enjoy the beautiful grounds open once again to the public. “Our neighbors are so glad to have us back,” said Brian Bauman, AHS Communications Manager, a Fort Hunt High School graduate. “And we are so glad to have them.”
