ALEXANDRIA, VA- Ceramic and ice cream lovers, has The Art League got a treat for you! For one day only, their popular Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser returns to this year’s Alexandria Old Town Art Festival, Saturday, September 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at John Carlyle Square (corner of John Carlyle St and Jamieson Ave).

Visit their booth and select from hundreds of unique, handmade bowls—lovingly created by the talented artists of The Art League’s ceramics department—and enjoy an ice cream treat, all for only $15 per bowl. Proceeds benefit the League’s ceramics department.

The Alexandria Old Town Festival is taking safety precautions such as timed entry and gate check-in, mandatory masks, and enforced social distancing throughout the event. Before you go, sign up to reserve your timed-entry slot to enter the Festival, and register here for entry into The Art League’s Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser booth.

The Art League will be implementing all of the festival’s safety measures at their booth, including disinfecting all the bowls on regular intervals and encouraging touchless credit card transactions over cash. Ice cream treats will be pre-packaged and individually sealed. Stanchions will be placed along our booth’s exterior to encourage social distancing and one-way traffic while browsing the bowls.

May people come every year to add to their unique ice cream bowl collectons. (Photo: The Art League)
