Alexandria Health Department Hosting Monkeypox Information Session

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The Alexandria Health Department, in collaboration with the City of Alexandria, will host a virtual information session on monkeypox on Wednesday, September 14, at 6:30 p.m. Public health officials will address important community concerns including how the virus is spread, common symptoms, vaccine eligibility and what the city is doing to keep residents and businesses well-informed. Monkeypox continues to be a rapidly evolving situation as cases in Northern Virginia, D.C., and Maryland increase.

Participants may register for the information session and submit questions in advance by visiting alexandriava.gov/Monkeypox.
