ALEXANDRIA, VA –  Last week organizers of the Old Town Festival of Speed & Style, presented by Burke & Herbert Bank, presented checks to two local charities that benefited from this signature event that took place earlier this year in May.

The annual single-day, free event featured more than 100 rare and unusual supercars and vintage motorcycles from around the world for up-close viewing enjoyment. The event spanned across the lower blocks of King Street, and around Market Square — near Old Town’s waterfront — and drew more than 15,000 spectators during the day, making this event one of the largest in Alexandria.

Giving back to the community is a key mission of the Festival, whereby organizers select local charities to donate event proceeds. The event Board of Directors presented two $15,000 checks to 2022 event beneficiaries, ALIVE!, who is dedicated to fighting poverty and hunger, and the Campagna Center who equips children and families with a comprehensive set of tools they need to thrive and succeed.

Since the festival’s inception, The Old Town Festival of Speed & Style, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has donated $60,000 to local charities. Planning is underway for the 4th Annual Old Town Festival of Speed & Style, presented by Burke & Herbert Bank, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 21, 2023. Local charities for the 2023 event will be announced in the coming year.
