Alexandria, VA – Joe Cerutti Jr, Alexandria Harmonizers Artistic Director, and Dr. Joyce Garrett, Director of Alfred Street’s Music and Worship Arts Ministry, have collaborated for years bringing the two groups together annually for music and fellowship. Joining them on October 12, the combined choirs of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Largo and Woodstream Church in Mitchellville and many representatives from other barbershop choruses sang together and individually throughout the evening.

Ending with a final song, “You Gotta Have Heart” (from Damn Yankees), the groups gathered for refreshments. Everyone is looking forward to next year’s gathering when the Alexandria Harmonizers will celebrate the 75th anniversary of this award-winning, internationally recognized group.
