Blank is succeeding Mary Eileen Dixon, who during her time as president, oversaw the opening of ALIVE’s two Food Hubs and led ALIVE! through the pandemic. With ALIVE! closed during much of that time, she took charge to ensure that the people who depended on ALIVE! received the help they needed as it adapted.

The Food Hubs, in addition, have improved ALIVE!’s ability to give food and resources to residents in need.

“It has been an honor to lead ALIVE! during this eventful period. Its ability to stretch and grow to meet new demands has been awesome,” Dixon said. “I am confident that its committed staff and volunteer corps will continue to find new and better ways to help improve the lives of our struggling neighbors.”
