Zebra Around The World
Alexandria, VA – Recently our Zebra photographer John David Coppola took a break from the sun and sea to catch up with last month’s issue during his sojourn in Cancun, Mexico.
Still traveling in southern Europe (see the July ZAtW), Alexandrians Norman and Susan Daily dined at Madrid’s DiverXO, #3 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. “I cannot imagine how the top two could be better. The food, creativity, and service were amazing,” he reports.
While touring Mont St Michel in Normandie, France, Suzanne Lepple learned that her guide Marie Coquelin had been liaison for Alexandria’s sister city Caen. Here Marie holds the Zebra article that mentions the Alexandria-Caen Sister Cities connection. Marie says bonjour to all her Alexandria friends, including former Mayor William Euille.
Zebra’s own Susan Fleischman toured Norway this summer. While cruising the fjords north of Bergen en route to Flåm and its steep railway, she stopped to catch up on our local news. “Incredible sights here,” she says. “Plus the Zebra!”
