Following Latest Storm, City of Alexandria Asking Drivers to Stay Clear of Some Area Roads

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Due to the significant wind and rain that moved through the Alexandria this evening, public safety crews are on the scene of multiple road closures due to downed trees and/or flooding.

Please review the list below to stay clear of these areas:

  • Russell Road and Mt. Vernon Avenue
  • 10 East Bellefonte Avenue
  • 104 East Custis Avenue
  • 400 South Pitt Street

Residents should utilize Alex 311 or call 703-746-4311 to submit non-emercency requests. For immediate police, fire, or emergency medical assistance, call or text 9-1-1.

For power outages, please notify Dominion Energy online or call at 1-866-DOM-HELP (1-866-366-4357).
