ALEXANDRIA, VA-Dash is a 5-year-old male dog with the neatest, beautiful brindle coat and expressive pointy ears. Dash is a very social, friendly guy who has lived with young children in his previous home. His former owner says that he has wonderful house manners and is crate trained. Dash is past the puppy stages, but still has the right amount of energy and is always up for a game of tug-of-war or walk around the neighborhood. Dash does very good with his “check in” behavior on walks, making sure to look at his handler when requested. He also has very good leash manners and is easy and enjoyable to take on walks. Dash knows “sit” and “paw.”AWLA volunteers report that Dash is very smart and a quick learner.

The AWLA is located at 4101 Eisenhower Ave. Founded in 1946, the AWLA has supported and served as a resource for homeless animals. The organization remains an integral part of the community by providing opportunities for adoption, spay and neuter assistance, education, and outreach. To learn more, visit alexandriaanimals.org.
