Read Across America Day!
St. Stephen's and St. Agnes Lower School students brought joy and enthusiasm to their Read Across Saints Day, aka: Read Across America!
Alexandria, VA – On March 2, St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes celebrated its fourth annual Read Across America or as we call it—Read Across Saints Day! Lower School students wore comfy pj’s and snuggled up with great books across campus.
The event kicked off with a morning community meeting where everyone brought a favorite book to share and had time for buddy reading with kindergartners and fifth graders, as well as with the second grade and junior kindergarten classes.
The theme is “a nation of diverse readers,” and our Saints celebration this year focused on exploring perspectives and making connections. What a day!
