Get in the Spirit with ACT’s ‘The Holiday Time Travelers’
Story borrows characters from 'A Christmas Carol" in a modern telling
Alexandria, VA – The Holiday Time Travelers is a new show featuring well-known characters from the holiday classic, A Christmas Carol. It is commissioned by ACT founder and program director Roberta Masters-Cullen and written by Cameron Noel. The show will be performed at Burgundy Farm Country Day School this weekend, Dec. 6-8, and next weekend, Dec. 13-14.
The story centers on three siblings from our time. The oldest two are more interested in material things and have lost the Christmas spirit; the youngest makes a wish on Christmas Eve to have a kinder, loving family again.
The Ghost of Christmas Past magically appears and takes all three of them on a journey to the past where they see how bullying and sadness as a boy made Ebenezer Scrooge into the unhappy adult he became.
The Ghosts of Christmas Present + Past also help the middle child see how he could turn out if he doesn’t change his selfish ways. They all come back to their home kinder and gentler, having learned the true meaning of the holidays and the joy of being with family.
This show is best for ages 5 and up.
