Shake Shack Is Coming to Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA-Shake Shack is coming to Alexandria. The popular restaurant chain with locations in Tysons Corner and DC will have a new home in Old Town in 2025. This according to a Special Use Permit listed on the City of Alexandria’s website. The applicant, Claudia Jessen, has applied to use the space at 621 King Street.
The city received the application Nov. 25. The final day for public comments is Dec. 26.
Famous for its shakes, Shake Shack also offers all types of hamburgers, a BLT sandwich, and fries with toppings. For dessert, they offer ice cream floats and frozen custard. Drinks include, lemonade, fountain soda, and water.
The entire menu is available for online order with pickup and delivery options, too. Catering services are also offered.
Though the city has the application, there is no firm date for an opening. The Zebra Press will provide updates as they are received.
