Adopt a Pet in Alexandria: Meet Astro
ALEXANDRIA, VA-Astro is a seven-year-old, 96-pound big ol’ boy looking for a home for the holidays. Astro is an A+ cuddler and is exceptionally sweet and affectionate. AWLA knows from his previous guardian that he is house trained, knows cues for sit, shake and fetch, and has done wonderfully around kids. Astro loves to play fetch and chase tennis balls. He is working very hard on his leash manners and clicker training. He’s a staff favorite and for good reason.
Thanks to Priority Toyota Springfield, all small mammals and dogs and cats six months and older have waived adoptions fees throughout the month of December. This includes Astro.
AWLA is located at 4101 Eisenhower Ave. Founded in 1946, the AWLA has supported and served as a resource for homeless animals. The organization remains an integral part of the community by providing opportunities for adoption, spay and neuter assistance, education, and outreach. To learn more, visit alexandriaanimals.org.
