I'm Shy and Quiet (Still Waters Run Deep, You Know)

Joseph, AWLA pet of the week
Joseph is shy and quiet, and ready for snuggles in a gentle home. Photo courtesy of the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.

Age: 3 (not too old, not too young)
Breed: It’s complicated…mostly white, some brown
Body Type: 37 pounds
Status: Shy and sweet and looking for a quiet home (I love the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, but it’s time to move on)

About Me
Hello! I’m Joseph, and proud to say I’m not the usual, loud alpha male type. In fact, I’m on the shy side – some would say timid – but I’m eager to grow my confidence with the right person. I don’t like to be rushed and ask that you let me get to know you at my own pace. It may be slower than what you’re used to, but once I know and trust you, I’ll shower you with affection! My leash manners are impeccable and I love to snuggle.

Ideal Match
I love being around other dogs and would benefit from having a gentle canine buddy as well as you. In fact, another quiet doggie would really help me build my confidence. My ideal match needs to talk to me in a quiet, soothing voice. Just watch me turn into butter!

Fun Fact:
I’m house-trained, spayed or neutered, and my adoption fees are paid. How can you resist?
