ALEXANDRIA, VA – The City of Alexandria is inviting families to get ready for an unforgettable summer as registration for its popular summer camps is now open. With a wide variety of programs designed to spark creativity, build skills, and encourage active play, there is something for every child to enjoy.

From sports and swimming to STEM, arts, and entrepreneurship, Alexandria’s summer camps offer enriching experiences where kids can explore new interests, make friends, and create lasting memories.

Camps for Every Interest

All-Around Adventures

Power On and Power Up camps provide a well-rounded experience for kids who want to do it all. Led by the City of Alexandria Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA) staff, these camps blend sports, STEM activities, arts, games, and outdoor play into engaging, high-energy days. Campers enjoy a variety of activities that keep them moving, learning, and having fun.

Make a Splash

Aquatics camps are perfect for water lovers of all skill levels. Options range from Preschool Swim Camp for beginners to Alex Swim Camp for developing confidence in the water. More advanced swimmers can participate in Swim Team Prep Camp or Swim Team Clinic Camp, while adventurous campers can try Youth Water Polo Camp.

Build, Create, Innovate

Step into digital worlds with Cyberteck camps such as Coding in Minecraft (for ages 6-9 and for ages 10-14), Animation Using Minecraft (for ages 6-9 and for ages 10-14), and Fortnite Level Design, where imagination meets real skills. Young entrepreneurs can bring big ideas to life at My First Lemonade Stand camp and Future Millionaires camp. For those who love to create, Art Innovators camp is all about experimenting, designing, and making something uniquely their own.

Sports and Active Play

Get ready for action with soccer campstennis campsskateboardinglacrosse camps, and flag football. Try something new with pickleball camps or build confidence and teamwork at cheerleading campTrack and field camp and kickball camp keep the energy high and the fun going all day.

Curious Minds Welcome

Skyhawks STEM and Play blends hands on learning with active play, perfect for kids who want a little bit of everything. Spend the day building with LEGO® camps, where kids work through hands on projects inspired by real-world engineering and design.

Each camp is designed to keep kids active, engaged, and inspired throughout the summer. With limited space and high demand, families are encouraged to register early to secure a spot.
