ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Alexandria Aces are calling on local residents to step up to the plate as the team prepares for its 2026 summer season. As the organization celebrates its 18th anniversary, families are invited to host collegiate student-athletes from across the country.

Players will need housing from May 30 through July 25, and the program remains a vital part of the team’s ability to recruit top-tier talent.

Supporting America’s Pastime at the Local Level

As a member of the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League, the Aces provide a competitive platform for aspiring professional athletes while delivering affordable, family-friendly entertainment to the Alexandria community.

The host family program plays a critical role in that mission, offering players a welcoming and stable environment throughout the season.

What It Means to Be a Host Family

Hosting is designed to be simple and flexible. Families are asked to provide:

  • A private place for the player to sleep
  • Access to a washer and dryer

Beyond these basics, host families often form meaningful, lasting connections with the players they welcome into their homes.

“Our host families are the heartbeat of the Alexandria Aces,” said Team President Frank Fannon. “Opening your home to these talented young men not only provides them with a supportive environment during the season but creates lifelong bonds between our players and the Alexandria community. We couldn’t take the field without the generosity of our local residents.”
