Linda and Mike Oliver brought a hand-painted sign they first used when the GODSPEED visited Old Town in 2006. The 1609 replica of the first ship that brought colonists to Jamestown is here for FREE TOURS now thru Sunday, the 14th.

Louis Kokonas, 86, math teacher for 60 years continues to teach at T.C. Williams and will be honored at a gala in 2019 by Scholarship Fund of Alexandria.

In a random act of kindness, Pat McMahon and Rachel Baron owners of Old Town Editions noticed a beautiful but rotted wooden bench in front of Fire Department, City of Alexandria, VA -Powhatan Fire Station #04 at 900 Second Street and volunteered to refurbish it, which took about 6 weeks. The flag theme was continued with a tribute to Star Fire Company which established in 1799. With Mayor Allison Silberberg, Captain Jason Kuehler, Lindsey Force, Old Town Editions’ Pat McMahon and Rachel Baron, Cindy Ayalya, Megan Cook, Jordyn Raia, Firefighter Chris Penn and Medic Howie Weinstein.

Doreen Hamilton and June Majors attended the OAR (Offender Aid and Restoration)event at St. Joseph’s Church.
