Alexandria Mayor Justin Wilson Releases Endorsements Which Include 24 Current and Former Elected Officials

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Today Alexandria Mayor Justin Wilson announced a number of endorsements for his re-election campaign. Mayor Wilson, who has served on the City Council since 2007, and as Mayor since 2018, filed to run for re-election last month.

Wilson says he is “focused on building on the positive, progressive accomplishments of his last three years in office including expanding healthcare access by bringing a hospital to long-vacant Landmark Mall, making it easier to get around by bringing Metro to Potomac Yard, and strengthening public education by creating funding for five new Alexandria schools.”

His early endorsers include:

I look forward to earning the most important endorsement of all on June 8th, that of the voters,” he added.

  1. Irrelevant to me that Wilson has the support of former pols and the like. Not surprised my local developer friends like and support him as well. But as a lifelong Alexandrian, no way will I support someone who always sides and pushes forward unconstrained large scale development and repeatedly demonstrates zero interest for the concerns of his constituents, they are nothing more than a hurdle to his focus and support of unfettered development gone awry.
